Im about to buy my first expensive watch, what is peoples opinion on the TAGheuer carerra? I find this model very attractive.

Make sure that you try it on first - it is 42mm diameter and more than 14 mm thick. I always liked Tag's sporty design and was planning to buy a Carrera chronograph. I put it on my wrist, and oh boy - the watch was way too big and heavy for my tiny wrist
I too find the Carrera line very nice. They are rather large watches so make sure you like how it wears too. Should the size be an issue, there are some lovely re-issues from a few years back that use the excellent Lemania 1873 movement (used as the Omega 1861 until recently in the Moonwatch) and come in a compact 37mm (I think). These have been on my radar for a while.
Great looking watch! If you like it, and it fits, you can't really go wrong.

Thanks for the response, i do have a 42 mm longines hydroconquest today that fits nice, so i think the size is good. But i will try it on first.
I tried on the new 39mm “glassbox” Carerra in the Tag Boutique the other day… felt perfect on the wrist
