Tangomat v Zeitwerk
Went out for lunch with an old friend and I couldn’t help but asked to have a play with his new watch. Exquisite. Playful. That’s before I turned the watch over to look at its display case back. Then even my shitty long-sighted eyes could see how beautifully decorated the movement was.
I took off my Tangomat for a little photo op.
Over 10x in price difference, and it shows.

Lange’s movement decoration is second to none. These swan neck adjustments and micro rotor are amazing. Thank you for sharing :)
Lange is near the top for sure. The datograph is still the most beautiful IMHO. This one's not mine, but still waiting for it.
Lange near the top in finishing? You mean at the top....PP lost that position years ago 😆 !
They're both gorgeous, but it's amazing that whereas the Nomos is done my machine, the ALS was done entirely by hand.

This is definitely my favorite movement of all time.
Your friend is a very very fortunate person. That is a watch most of us could ever dream of owning. Your watch isn’t half bad either tho!
