Day one with the “Try Before you Buy” Timex

Picked this up b/c I could try it for free for 7 days with Amazon. It arrived in a busted-a** basic Walmart-style Timex box. But for $60, I didn’t expect more. So far, it wears well and the supplied NATO is meh, but sufficient. I love the legibility and the fact it has (weak) lume plus Indiglo! Only trouble is the chrono takes a lot of work to reset it to “zero” after using. There is no snap-back feature or automatic reset - instead you use a combination of the pushers to manually return hands to the starting position of the dial and subdials. Again, for $60 I wasn’t expecting much. All that said, I think I’ll keep it. It sports a great design and wears so freaking light!

I have the MK1 also. Sounds like you got the aluminum case version, and yeah, it's wonderfully light and comfy. The best feature is the fat acrylic crystal, hands down. Enjoy!
