USPS Lost Package: Zulu Alpha

Thursday my eBay purchase - a ZA Blackbeard Bloodline strap was marked as delivered. I scored it for $80 which is essentially like getting it with free shipping - not a bad deal. However… it was never actually delivered; it was lost/stolen and I’m bummed.

That brings me here. Are there any WC fam that have a Zulu Alpha strap, 20mm Black, that they’d be willing to part with? I just can’t bring myself - mostly on principle - to pay $27 to ship a nato so I’d rather grab one gently-used in the CONUS.

Thank you in advance for anyone willing to read and respond 🙏

What!!!

Where'd it ship from?

I'd be getting all up in eBay's business.

Also read, mostly on here, how it's a buyer friendly platform. In this case you should get your money back?

Also there's these guys:

Need to pick one up, might not be sewn in or screw post buckles, but for $25 US I'm down.

I dig it. I’m looking for their straps without holes - essentially in cinches down. The seller I bought from will be refunding me and they will be able to take it up with USPS on their end. I just cannot understand why it costs Zulu Alpha nearly half the price of the strap to ship to the US. It’s crazy-pants.

Shipping and handling has been one of the areas I have never understood.

I would also concur that ZA shipping is spicy. Been that way since '18.

My guess is it's some kind of flat rate from DHL, maybe mixed with Brexit politics?

I don't know.

Love their stuff, and have a few.

Hit up the Sangin B/S/T Facebook group, etc. have to be a member first but worth it. ZA, Zane's Handmade, Resco, Hawkrigger, etc come up for sale frequently.

If I'm ordering directly from ZA, I'll wait until I meet the minimum for free shipping, or go in with a bunch of guys and pay the ordering person via Venmo

So just to fill you guys in who don’t know much these straps are heavily used in some (military) type watches. I learned all about them after following Sangin Instruments. Marine Raider owned (rah) and built up US. It would behoove you to check them out if your a fan! Also, Jake is a solid dude 🤙🏼🏴‍☠️

I’m willing to work something out as I don’t use either the watch or the strap much.

Totally 👍🏼 is there a PM kinda thing on here? If not I don’t want any payment other than a few pictures on here and (maybe) if you have some delicious local beef jerky then I’d gladly take a few bags lol. I can send email here or there 🤙🏼

International shipping seems to be expensive for regular people and companies not leveraging scale. I was studying overseas and had my wife ship me a small, light package of stuff I couldn't manage on my flight over. It was like $150-$200. DHL also ignored my legit description of the contents as used personal belongings and did the thing where they text you the package is out for delivery but you have to pay tax before they'll finish.

I don't presently have plans in place to ship my photo prints abroad, either. All the solutions I've seen are similarly eye-watering. I could afford to drop ship from the printer, though, because their usage level earns them reduced rates.

Sorry that happened to you…..I’ve had that happen too, ordered a Hamilton and it said delivered and it never showed up.

I don’t have that NATO bro, if so, I’d ship it to you and give it up for free. 🍻

Thanks so much. It’s definitely frustrating. Tho, your Hamilton situation sounds it even more so.
