A Timex I purchased at Walmart had a s**t strap paired with it. After some research and obsessing, I found nato straps for the first time. This was the entrance to the rabbit-hole and it’s been a hobby ever since. Albeit, far more expensive now 😂
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Honestly, after dabbling in more expensive brands, like Tudor and Omega, I’ve come back to more affordable watches coming from independents and micro brands. TSAO Baltimore has been killing it. Lotier is crushing it. And while not an independent, Timex has been doing some really great stuff when pushing toward the higher end of their price category. I still love Seiko, and Doxa is my favorite brand, but there are so many great small brands out there worth a look.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I consider the term Grail to be over and mid-used. Grail, to me, is a watch I will likely pursue without ever really knowing if I’ll get my hands on it for one reason or another. That said, my Grail watch is the FP Journe Resonance - a piece I will most certainly never see, let alone own.
