Absolutely gorgeous! Add Hemingway’s name and it automatically makes it more attractive to me. Will have to check them out.

Forgot to add the Oris Divers Sixty-Five as another Sellita 200-1 movement (~$2500).

Many people just buy for the brand name for status.

Get you a watch winder off Amazon. They’re affordable and worth the investment IMO.

Are people buying CW’s for their resale value though? I’d venture to guess most patrons of the brand don’t care too much. But what do I know. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve only owned the 12, but the quality is unbelievable at this price point. I find myself wearing this watch the most. They don’t mark up off-the-shelf Sellita movements to $5K+ like some other brands - IWC, Hublot, etc.

Like a lot of you here, I have several watches on my candidate list for my next purchase, including but not limited to a Sinn 104A (~$2K USD with day date 220-1), Doxa Sub 200 (~$1K ETA 2824-2), and a CW C63 36mm Black on the jubilee (~$1K). The Sinn 556 actually uses the same movement as the C63 and Sub 200, but is priced at $1700 on a fine link bracelet. Everyone knows about Hublot lol. Even Tudor uses Sellitas in some of their cheaper watches which are about $1000-2000 more than the first three I listed.

I love all of the those options above, but at $995 on a jubilee styled bracelet, great finishing all around, and just a clean, classic look I find it hard to beat the CW C63. I don’t care about brand recognition. The only watch that might cause me to pause is the Nomos Club Campus Night with their in-house Alpha movement (manual). Of course it’s pricier.

Tell me that’s not a beauty! 👇

Really nice quality for affordable prices. Mostly Seiko and Miyota movements.
