Going to my AD tomorrow and probably (likely, knowing me) will pull the trigger on either of these 2. Cannot decide after hundreds of looks , love both cases. The black PVD really accentuates the whole bubble/liquid idea and carries that gooey black dial right down the edge of the case. The brushed SS looks classier and will take multiple leather straps that might look real nice with an Itallian watch. Any thoughts? And please pick ONE if you had to - don't say I like them both! (because that's where I'm already at!)
Thanks, Crunchers. Big conundrum.

The U-Boat Darkmoon is an interesting watch. While I am usually not a PVD person, I agree it looks better and feels more “dark moon.”
I think PVD is always the wrong choice, over the long term it will scratch/mark in ways a plain stainless watch won't.

I agree - thank you! This is a tough one b/c the finishing on the ss is great too. But the bubble is why you're buying it and I think the PVD wins out on that argument.

Man, that is such a good point. Some PVD's are better than others; am I willing to take the risk at this price point? Thank you 😎
I like the black on black !! Hmm
Maybe cuz I was wearing this today lol…

I smash my own, used to be a short order cook way back. I have all the tools and a big cast iron top for the grill. It is my passion, my art, my obsession. I smash, therefore I am.

Dude!! Awesome! Love the crunchy bits that get nice and toasted ! Adds crunch to the it !! Damn it now I want some!!
The caramelization is the gold. Cheers and thanks!
IMHO the stainless case model looks better than the all black case. I like the way it draws attention to the dial.
I’ve been wearing mine every day for the #1wc, and it has gotten heavy usage for about a year now and the case is still totally black! I’m not super hard on it, but have taken it hiking and stuff plenty…

Haha that is super! I saw your posts on #1wc and hope you'd chime in - I love that berry NATO on it. You've given a great perspective here on what the U-boat is all about and that you can add straps to the PVD and it looks just great. Thanks, brother. Wheels on the pavement in 12 hours. I'll let you know. Cheers 🍻

I think that ss finishing is top shelf. This is a brain-breaker. Thank you!

I use NATO’s because it doesn’t have spring bars, it has a screw bar that uses a weird tool so I can’t change the straps myself unless I just use NATO’s… this burgundy one brings out the red text though and I love the way it looks! Possibly my favorite watch, but the strap non spring bar thing is annoying…

Point taken. I think it would look great on a ton of NATO's. I have the tools for that bar and it would be fun to throw some cool straps on it. I think some leathers would work even with the PVD.

Nice 💪 I saw your post with this pic - awesome you chimed in!😎 Props.
Ooh both are very sick but I would go silver just a cleaner look imo.
PVD~~~~!
SS better.
I’ve always liked the green dial but 44mm is just too big for me.
You put it well, it is the "classier" that got me!

love, love, LOVE that dial on yours! Wow. Too big for my wrist but I'm going to throw it on anyway today and see how it looks 😎
SS better.

I know, the green and red both look fantastic. Maybe I should get a color in the PVD and the black in SS!😎
