My main complaint is that the 24-hour scale is incomplete, which makes for reading it not as easy. My other is that watch brands consistently use the wrong number for midnight.

Huh! I didn't notice until you said it. The hours are in twos, but the hash marks split them into fifths!
That's awful! Each hash mark is 0.4 hours (or 24 minutes)?!
