I wouldn't unless the company has statements and guarantees backing it as a swimming and ocean capable watch. I would email them to get a written response.

I'd rather not get into the whole 1st word vs 3rd world product pricing debate. I think we can just leave it at "hi-end" as in either case there will be better and worse levels of products.
