What are some of the closest homages or similar watches to the old 6538 bond watch?
I'm interested at various price points as well, from both entry level to higher end offerings.
It looks like Tudor Black Bay is farly close.
Here is a Steinhart Vintage Diver coming in at a more affordable price, but the numerical dial throws it off a bit:
I've seen some custom watch builds with Seiko parts that get really close, but I'm not sure where to start with getting that done.
Any other recommendations would be appreciated!
Thanks.

My humble opinion. It's on an Erika's Connery:

Lorier Neptune gets my vote.
Invicta 1953 if you can live without Mercedes hands or want to fit your own. Pagani Design 1694 for a pretty much exact version to the eye — especially the fauxtina version. It suffers from having better materials mine you, Ceramic Bezel Insert and I think it’s 200m WR. Unlike the original it will also likely have solid rather than hollow end links, and a unidirectional bezel.
Lorier Neptune gets my vote.
Like two Bond watches had a baby.
