Yes, my first luxury watch purchase was all set to be the Tudor North Flag. Went in the AD and tried it on several times, but when it came to pulling the trigger I bottled it.
I did make a bigger purchase later, my Grail (inherited some more so aim was raised) & I'm very happy with it (SM300) but do often think about "my" NF and how things could have turned out .
I'm planning on buying a Grand Seiko, but I'm thinking about rather buying a Seiko Alpinist and a Laco Flieger. Maybe a Tag Heuer Carrera Date... Or the Grand Seiko? Its a pain to decide, but I'll see on friday since I will go to all of the stores in one trip. Maybe some of you can help me decide...

A few weeks ago I tried on all the watches I had been considering for my first big purchase to celebrate a milestone: various SMP300 (at two different boutiques 😅, all the tudors possible, even messed around at Rolex with an explorer 40 and a datejust.)
Do you know which one is the only one I can’t get out of my head? This beautiful seiko, just the proportions and the way it wraps on my wrist.
Made me realize I’m probably not ready for a larger purchase, not just financially but from what I’m look for in a watch (wear anywhere, don’t worry about what locals or clients might think in my tiny coastal town I’m working in now, beat it to hell in the sea and off-road activities).

More like getting distracted with another watch on my list

Did this happen with one watch or does it happen regularly?

I think you need are not really into the watch you’re saving for so you lose interest through time maybe?
