Nomos Metro Neomatic 39 Silvercut

I got this one a month ago but had some issues getting the strap I wanted and getting on the watch due to the unusual wire lugs (springbars work but I had the wrong size). Got it all straightened out now.

I love Nomos! The craftsmanship is amazing for the price, with an all in-house movement (including the balance, which is very unusual). The textured dial is a Nomos proprietary process, no one else has it. As a Metallurgical Engineer (retired), I get excited about such stuff.

I'm definitely enjoying finally having it on my wrist. I'll be doing a more detailed review in a few weeks.

I love the Metro, I have the Gangreserve. I love the wire lugs, which wear so nicely compared to the usual Nomos popsicle sticks. Yes, the 18mm lugs take 16mm spring bars. I read that somewhere before I got the watch, so I knew what I needed when I got around to changing the strap. I also love the power reserve, which adds a bit of dynamism and calculated asymmetry.

I love that complication too and for the same reason, which is why I have my Tangente Gangreserve.
