If the price is anywhere to 5k or even 3k I would not buy. The problem with spending that much money 1. does not hold value 2. For 5k you can get a classic piece of horological history 3. you getting rip off.

I would say this the watch looks nice but not 5k nice.

With most my comments I like to give some options:

You can get a Bell & Ross for cheaper in the pre-own market:

If we all should only buy watches that does not depreciate then very few of us would be able to buy any watches. Except for a handful of watches that very few can buy, almost all watches will depreciate. Many of the watches that are now increasing in value used to depreciate as well. What we are seeing now is historically not the norm. It wasn't that long ago that the Daytona was sold at a discount.

If I were to follow your rules I would only have a few watches and my collection would be extremely boring.

To each their own and people buy what they want there's really no rule. As a watch "enthusiast" LOL I think we always advice people not to get ripped off especially spending 5k plus on a watch. Is a hobby not a stock market but on the same token is always good to point out the two sides of the coin to do a conscious buy.

No one is getting "ripped off". We are not talking about potentially buying a fake. The OP was asking how it wears.

It wears really nicely! I got to try one on in the Hermés boutique and despite being super light, it still has presence on the wrist.

I have a 6.25-ish inch wrist and I did not feel overwhelmed by the watch itself. It was the price I was overwhelmed by 😅
