Reverse-engineering the Omega cursive script

I complain about bad typography a lot - it is my biggest watch pet peeve and almost every company has produced a few terrible offenders in its time. But I have no complaints at all about Omega's industrial cursive script. It's so readable and effortless... until you try doing it yourself.

After a few hours of toil, my respect for the original designers has gone way up.

However, I think I've finally cracked the code and I look forward to using this elegant mid-century style to spell out any novel or puerile word I want 😈

That's a true labour of love! I also like the pad-printed capital letters of the Omega name on vintage dials where you can zoom in and see the tiny serifs.

Font nerdery makes me all swoony-like. If I hadn't already been following you, I'd sure as heck start now!

Nice work digging into this! The Omega geometric script has always caught my eye. I love how they use it across collections. Interesting to see variations: Constellation has more circular/square shapes compared to Seamaster
