Bezel Swap - Which one?

Hey guys,

Last year I had a 40mm Seiko Sprite GMT built. it uses the NH34 Movement. I have little to no real experience in modding anything, but Id like to change the Bezel on it to an all black 24Hr GMT Bezel.

Iv got the tools and using Youtube and other sites, i think i candle changing the bezel. I want to get a full bezel & insert so i can change it back and forth from time to time.

Question: What bezel would i need for this? Where are good places to pick one up?

The cases are not all the same so go with the brand that you got the case from. Mod case brands always have other mod parts in their line up.

The all Black 24H bezel It would look great, look on the Long Island Watch page and you can even ask Mark what he recommends.

YouTube videos on bezel removals can be deceiving. (I still remember than one guy with the kitchen knife.) Attempts at bezel removals are something that caused quite a number of scratched cases.

I assume you have a selection of pry tools, right? Think of the ones that usually come with case presses. Something that looks like this:

Take one of the smallest blades, find the widest gap between bezel and case, and push straight towards the center of the watch. Avoid slicing or prying movements, it really should be a straight push.

As far as bezels are concerned, Namokimods has a great selection, but I haven't had any issues with AliExpress, either. Crystaltimes also comes to mind.

Keep in mind that there are slight variations on the insert, meaning that the inner part can be angled upwards, while others are flat. Just measure your existing bezel insert and you should be fine.

At what stage are you stopping? Did the pry tool slide under the bezel at all?
