So I was watching Adam Savage on YouTube and he did a video on the Seiko mod community. He got a Captain Willard mod if memory serves.
Flash forward a few months and I see an add on my Instagram for Seiko Mods, and this black/red Pepsi GMT caught my eye.
They were running a sale (which I know is probably on all the time) and I pulled the trigger for $359.99 US.
Took a few weeks to get delivered.
They did include a screwdriver and bracelet adjustment tool in the box.
After taking out a few links, here we are.
Seems nice for the price. I’ve always liked this style of GMT.
The cyclops lens is a tiny bit crooked, which causes my OCD to flair up. I might see if I can disassemble it far enough to rotate things like 1.5mm. 🤷🏻♂️😬
While it’s not a counterfeit because it still says Seiko, we all know what it’s referencing.
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are you OK with Mods or do you think it’s just ripping off a classic design?
