Been looking at pictures of square watches nowadays. Not saying I am considering acquiring one (yet), but that is also not a bad idea. I don't own a square watch and was thinking in terms of variety in the collection. Let's see your square watches or any of your recommendations. Let the fun begin... ๐

Wow! That is a good-looking GO! Is that a dual time display below 12?

Iโm not positive, but I think that is the hour counter display for the chronograph.ย

You're right. I don't believe that disc will accommodate 24hrs the way it is calibrated.
Those Nomos Tetras are so good. I need to see one in personย
Wow, great squares my friend! The Hamilton looks really interesting. The Zenith with that curved case! Is square cases your thing in watches? I believe you are a guru of squares! ๐

They really do, don't they? Love to see one in the metal too. ๐
Vintage square! Very much Aurelian! Very nice... ๐
I've seen the Cartier in our local pre-loved site with asking of about 3,950USD. Would that be a good deal for it at the current exchange rate? ๐ค And it says unworn in the listing. ๐
Don't forget square watches play larger on the wrist than their size on paper would suggest.

That is a great-looking Monaco! The legibility is superb despite the colorway. I am stoked! What are the dimensions on this piece and what is your wrist size, if you don't mind me asking?

The dimensions (from Tag Heuer website) are 38mm X 38mm not including the crown and pushers, my wrist size is 8 inches.

I see now what you mean. It really wears larger for its dimensions on your wrist. I have a 6 and 3/4 inch wrist. Does Tag offer that piece in smaller dimension?
There is the Monza, however, only slightly smaller at 37 x 37.... but may play a little smaller because of the hybrid case style. ย With your wrist size you will need to sample your options to be sure. ย Check out the Nomos square models and also the Muhle Glashutte square models which are like 36 x 36 as well as the many vintage options.ย
The Monza is a beautiful piece. However, it doesn't speak as much to me as the Monaco. I'll take your advice and try to look at other pieces. I have to broaden my perspective and look as much as what the market can offer. Thank you so much sir.

I think at that price, you are close enough to retail that you might as well just buy it new from an AD. ย

My vintage collection had many more squares. ย I let most go already but hereโs some pics. ย I wonโt include cushions or tanks.ย

Wow! Never realized Hamilton did so many square models. Very impressive vintage square collection. Love the small seconds. Thanks for sharing.ย
