IIcohow-wowyp duel 9: RLG Odyssea vs. Seiko 5 SNKL23

If I could only have one watch - which one would you chose? Dressy diver or dressy everyday watch? RLG Odyssea 39mm of pastel blue retro homage or Seiko 5 SNKL23 37mm of the watch that looks like a million bucks! Choose wisely!

Seiko fandomship is big. All RLG here. Love sapphire bezels, love the color, love divers.

Same here, voted RLG if only for the pastel blue 👌

Neither are a good size for me. But if I'm going to play along? The color on the RLG is awesome, I'm not a bold color kind of guy. I'm a subdued, almost grey man kind of person. Some guy commented on my 50mm Invicta diver and I haven't worn it since. Long story short(too late), I chose the Seiko.

Gotta admit I checked your vote when I saw the notification because I know both aren't your cup of tea size-wise.

There will be better rounds for you, here's a teaser: tomorrow's poll will feature one of my biggest watches. Stay tuned! 😉

I have the SNKL 43 and love it, looks 1000 times more expensive than it is. One of the watch I got the most compliments when I was wearing it daily.

But I voted RLG because day/date complication is unaesthetic and bothers me in a rotation (even if we play the one watch challenge, I don't like it), and the WR is so dramatically weak on the Seiko I'm affraid to wash my hands with the watch on my wrist. So I go for the Pastel blue RLG

I considered you in the Seiko 5 camp, you surprised me 😁

Sorry I'm a traitor, but I'm bored to be worried about WR and setting the date is a pain on these tiny little crown (I have an SNK807 too) 😜

But I would never sell my SNKL for all the gold on earth !

Seiko 5 although that blue is lovely!

I sometimes wonder, if these pretty Seiko 5s had some wr, a sapphire crystal, a good bracelet, a less random movement... but they weren't such charming propositions.

One must accept the humble 5 for what it is 👌

Can't agree more, this is part of the charm. If it was practical, it wouldn't be a 5 🤣🤣

Joke aside, I love the canvas strap of my SNK, I wash the dishes with both my 5, I never succeed to scratch the glass, and my SNKL is one of my most accurate watch...

Seiko for me… but largely because “no numbers, no pastel shades of blue, whether Bamford or that Red-headed American singer who turned my head when I was about eight” rules apply. Also — black dial. Onyx is where it’s at.

Seiko 5 anyway ☺️
