NWA: This is a special one💙

Hi watchfam, so today i want to share my newest watch, which was a gift from my sister. But there is quite a bit of a story to tell.

So this year i have an important birthday coming up. My sister and her little one are currently visiting and she sat down with me and told me that she wanted to buy me a watch. She talked to a friend of hers, who is a watchgeek himself and he suggested a Hamilton Khaki Field, but she was not sure about and did not buy it. Whise decision, because i already own one. So she told me that i could choose a watch within a 500€ price range. That came totally out of the blue, cause i wasn't really expecting anything except for a funny postcard.

Her boyfriend, the daddy of the little one, tragicly and suddenly passed 2 years ago.We all loved him and his death was most likely the worst thing happening in our family ever, leaving my sister and her little girl alone. She said that the watch is a gesture , he would have loved as well and that it is a gift from both of them.

So i picked the watch, got it engraved and here it is now. Everytime i wear it, it will remind me of him. The engraving is really personal so i'm not going to share it as it is but the translation is as follows:

"For Me

From him and my sister

16.08.23"

The 16.08 is today, his birth day and the day i got this watch.

Let's talk about the watch itself and why i picked it.

I've seen the Tissot Gentleman in Titanium maybe half a year ago for the first time. Back then i already was in love, but there was a little missunderstanding and i was told the watch has lume, but no superluminova. This fact back then was a dealbreaker for me within this pricepoint and i have not thought about the Gentleman ever since.

Time passed and i have seen it on a few wrists out in the wild and always thought what a handsome pick it was. So with a budget of 500€ i went back to it and i absolutly don't regret it.

It is stunning. The unique blue dial only existing in the titanium version of the Gentleman and not in any other watch within the Tissot cataloge, the perfectly sunken in caseback, which makes the watch apear like it is made out of a single block of titanium, the handset, the slimness and the overall (very oysterish) design.

I'm in love and with the watch and the meaning of it there is not chance it is ever leaving my collection again💙

Thank you, Sister❤️

Really cool gift under horrible circumstances, but bravo to her for the gesture. Great addition and the engraving will make this special forever.
