2023 Watch Year Round Up🥂🎆

Hi watchfam, The end of the year is here and accordingly I would like to review the past year. 2023 was by far the best watch year and generally one of the best years of my life so far🥳 To briefly summarise the highlights of the year. I was on holiday in Ischia (island in southern Italy) and Pompeii and shortly afterwards had the opportunity to work and live in Malaga for 6 weeks in the summer. Later in the year, I had the great honour of doing my dream job for 7 weeks with a perfect team and working environment. 2023 was probably the most important year of my life so far. I was able to learn many new experiences and skills that I would never want to miss again. Many thanks to everyone involved who made this possible for me. But back to the watches. This year was also the most expensive and in terms of growth of the collection the most intense year to date. Firstly, a brief overview of all the watches I have sold, bought, received as gifts and given away. What have I learnt in 2023? I fell madly in love with Nomos as a brand, realised that smaller watches are actually better in my case and finally found the right path for my collection. In the future, I want to focus more on Nomos and also on reissues of vintage watches, especially from the 70s and 80s like the Hamilton PSR and the Tissot Sideral. What are my plans for 2024? I would like to sell some watches and reduce my collection a bit. I also want to focus more on the watches I already have and enjoy them. I'm also planning some major structural changes (positive) in my life, so 2024 will be a year of savings in order to make these changes work. If everything goes smoothly, I'll still have a decent budget left over for a new watch at the end of the year and it will most likely be a Nomos. Depending on how good the budget turns out, I will decide which watch it will be. At the moment I'm thinking of a Nomos Autobahn Nachtblau or a Nomos Metro 41 Update or the new Nomos Club Sport Tabak, we'll see. In addition, I don't want to buy any "bargain watches" next year (fingers crossed), but concentrate on higher quality ones and reducing the collection. Finally, it only remains for me to wish you all a wonderful, happy, successful new year 2024, watchfam!🎆 What are your plans for the upcoming year? Let's have a chat🥂
