I really like this watch as it uses the ETA 7497/8 caliber. It is one of the smallest cases I found to hold this movement. It is only 41mm. 20mm lugs. Love it.
If any company made a 39mm case with the same movement, I would buy it in heartbeat. If the Russians could do it in the 50s with the Molnija movement (same size as the 6497), I don’t understand why companies don’t do make smaller cases.

Looks great. Also, there are a few brands that have squeezed that movement into a 40mm case. Dekla, Tourby, and Zeno come to mind.

Never heard about Altanus. That movement is the movement to have when you want a hand wound watch, I think. Enjoy!
I’m enjoying wearing the watch. I also like another hand wound movement from ETA: Caliber 7001. Buttery smooth winding.
