Not a bad idea: Have one KILLER WATCH, and collect straps. It would seem to be much less expensive. You must be very good at putting straps on your timepiece.
Depends very much on the weather and the application - generally NATO (must be mil-spec, ie sewn in buckle, otherwise what's the point?!)in the winter & metal in the summer.
I don't do leather anything & don't like the feel of rubber/silicone.
Do like Alcantara very soft & posh, & Sailcloth too.
Just got a Komfit, very lightweight and very comfortable, bit pricey at £115 but impressed with it so far...
Im pretty much a one watch wearer at the moment so have been properly kicking the arse out of different strap permutations.

Bracelets seem pretty popular. But do you worry about the collection of wrist cheese and DNA in the band's nooks and crannies?
Like the way the rubber straps wear. I usually try to pair the watch with something that in my mind looks good so many times watches I own are paired with one of the other materials.

Bracelets are easy to wash, and the metal radiates heat so my wrist doesn't get all sweaty
I love the look of quality, well-crafted leather.
Actions speak louder than words. 😊

Didn't vote as for me it varies depending on the watch and what I'm doing.
FKM Rubber is great, silicone sucks. Two very different types of straps and material.
I am making and selling leather straps but to be honest, metal bracelet always my favorite 🤣🤣🤣
Singlepass FTW!
Out of those, yes.
Whatever matches the watch.

OEM bracelet or Marine Nationale straps only.
I like French fries...

Not at all, far easier to wash than a NATO or leather.
Tho I tend to wear the same watch most of the time I do change straps a lot 😉👍🏻
