I think everyone before me made the right points already. One last thing I could add:

The U50 looks more unique than the Tudor, which although more refined, has the typical diver-look, immortalized by the Rolex Submariner.

I've had both on my wrist and they are equally perfect. I suggest you trying them before making the decision. But you'll probably end up wanting both, anyway :)

It looks awesome on your wrist! I have a 7ish inch wrist and was just wondering, how will it fit!

Cheers mare, have a nice weekend!

Nice! I am still waiting for mine...

What is your wrist size, if I may ask?

In my case, the CW C63 Sealander GMT

Hi there! Very beautiful words and story. I feel a big connection to the topic, because of three short things:

  1. My father passed away many years ago in a car accident. Back then, I wasn't into watches... But meanwhile I got bitten by the watch bug and asked my mother about his watch: she keeps it, but it is really in a terrible condition. At the moment, I don't want it... As it reminds me of a terrible moment in our lives.

  2. A good friend of mine passed away this year in July, also in a car accident. He and his wife are from Ukraine, and I felt absolutely sad that his wife and kid had to go through such terrible pain, additionally to what they and their families have been suffering through the last years. My friend had a Junghans and I used to like the watch and brand. Now, I still appreciate them but will never own one: this was my good friend's watch and I don't want to be reminded that he is gone by an object to which I usually associate good feelings to. It doesn't work for me.

  3. I have a "goldenen cousin" of yours, which I keep mostly for positive emotional reasons: I bought it in our honeymoon and it was my daily beater during our house renewal 8 years ago. As said before, I wasn't into watches and probably should've used something else for it :)

Cheers!
