Is this bracelet changeable?

I've got this Pulsar Kinetic watch that I'd like to take the bracelet off and use with a Nato strap.

Can someone please tell me if that can be done with this watch? The bracelet link looks unremovable, where it connects to the watch!

I'm guessing not possible, but can you show the underside?

Here you go!

·

How do you tell the time with that?

·

Haha, great question! I've removed the movement already, to upgrade to a sapphire crystal because I managed to crack the original one.

·

measure it and compare it to the Casio 5600 strap mod parts. those are in black also

If you don't mind what appears to be a 10-12mm replacement, then yes.

I see what you're saying.

Yeah...that would look pretty odd. First I would need to figure out how to get this bracelet off at all.

The watch has got these 4 screw-like contraptions, as the photos show. I'm not sure what they do, if anything.

It might be tough, but you should be able to get a springbar tool in there. I think what you’d be looking for is something that flares out just past the case so it doesn’t look ridiculously thin. If you’re lucky, a strap for a PRX or other watch might fit. Other than that, I think you’d need something custom.

The resolution isn't great but it looks like normal shouldered spring bars to me. They are just the width of the center link. I have no idea if those screw heads cover a drilled lug or not.

That PRX looks promising, I'll look more into it.

I'm not sure if they are screws or not. I spent a small amount of effort and force to try to turn and nothing happened.

Do you happen to know if they're even removable? They might just be decorative pieces.

Perhaps they are left hand threads or using nasty thread-locker. I know nothing, but for metal it should be easier to drill and tap and plug with a screw than to fake it. And the skew threads seem realistic. As above, removing the spring bars should be achievable without molesting the screws.

·

Here are a few closer up photos of the screws, if it helps. I'm reluctant to try to force them because they don't turn easily at all.

Does anyone know where to look for schematic or technical diagrams of this watch, and Seiko watches in general?

I've looked at the Pulsar website but only found user manuals there, not any assembly diagrams.

What's a good website or source to check out?

·

What has actually happened is that in my haste I disassembled the watch, and a couple of gaskets came out. I wasn't wise enough to note down their locations in the assembly, so I'm curious if I can find a diagram somewhere of how to put it back together properly, which the gaskets in the right place.

The two gaskets in the top-left of the photo are what I'm referring to. What I do recall is that the black gasket came out when I took the movement out of the case, and the white gasket came out with the shattered crystal I removed.

What I want to know is how to place them properly so that they are secure and do their job like they're supposed to.
