User-filled watch database for WC'ers

Is there a user populated and maintained watches database out there, like what I've got in mind (below)?

I have this idea and am wondering how many others here would find it useful.

I'm thinking a simple wiki-style database of all the watches that watch owners would like to share information about with the rest of us. It will start with 1 watch. Then another user adds his 2, and another user adds his, and so on.

You can specify as many or as few fields for each watch to begin with. Then others can update the information, or add more photographs. This can be discussed further down the road.

So yeah, is there something like this already out there? One big use, for me, would be to learn about watches I come across while browsing eBay, for example.

Again, the principle ideas are:

  1. Share as much or as little information you want, about your whole collection or any number of watches. You and other users can add more information over time.

  2. Do not share any wrong information, and actively patrol for wrong information.

While this is thought upon more, I'm going to look for and post any good databases or apps that serve the purpose wanted here. (I do not like reinventing the wheel!)

The main difference I'm finding is that these are not user-filled or user-maintained, so you're limited to whatever entries they have in their selection at any point in time.
