Being a budget watch collector, last week I was endlessly browsing through Aliexpress 11.11 sale like many others. There were so many good deals from the known brands and I added so many in the cart. But everytime before checking out I craved for something which was not a direct homage. I have nothing against homages and I feel they represent great value, especially to budget watch collectors, I still kept looking hopeful of finding something more original and different.
That's when I came across this Seagull 6075 and it immediately caught my attention. Off lately I have been fixated with clean designs with white dials and this just fit the bill. The reviews that I read about this were all really good. The only worry I had was the dependability of the seagull movement. I started reading again and realized seagull are a massive manufacturer of movements and this ST17 is a simple movement without any complex complications.
So, I decided to take the plunge and paid around £57 delivered to me in the UK, which I thought was a good deal. The watch is simple as expected and the build quality is quite good. The exhibition caseback is also a welcome design. Overall, I'm quite happy with watch and with the price I paid.
I'll be keeping an eye on how this performs as I have my eyes on a few more seagulls including the famous 1963 chronograph and a few watches with power reserve indicators.

Looks great. Good find 👏
Sea-Gull is capable to put out cool stuff if they want 👍🏼
For £57 that's a great looking watch👍
That's good to know :)
how does it wear on small wrist (mine is 6'25)? any problems with loudness/noise from the rotor?

Hi. I have a 6'5 wrist where I wear my watch and it wears quite good. The lugs are compact and there is no overhang. I've not heard any rotor noise till now.
Thanks, mate. What about the strap, is it as stiff and bad as some people say? I am really tempted to purchase this one with the Black Friday Sale. Cheers!
That's true strap is very stiff. It's easing up with wear but not still not very good. I would suggest to budget for an alternate strap. Lug width is convenient 20mm. Cheers!
Thanks. Final question: how accurate is it keeping time?
Thanks. Final question: how accurate is it keeping time?
It's fairly good I would say. I don't have a Timegrapher to measure accurately. However, mine is running approx between +5 to +10 seconds a day. Not more than that for sure. Hope that helps.
looks nice
