I started loving watches at a very young age. In more recent years, I started seriously thinking about my collection and how I want it to express myself. First, it was all new watches but recently I've been diving into vintage pieces. This is the latest one. 1968 Hamilton Thin-O-Matic with a solid 14K gold case. Hamilton caliber with a micro-rotor. I find that I loving the smaller, vintage case dimensions. This one is 34mm not including the crown. What do you think?

It’s near perfect condition considering it’s age
Fantastic size. How do you know it's from 1968? I have no idea how to date a Hamilton. I was just surprised to see the little "SWISS" at the bottom of the dial.
However, this reveals some interesting stuff about the Buren microrotor, arguably the first.

I'm impressed to see that coined bezel apparently undamaged in gold after half a century. 34mm is a great size and thin too!

Thanks! I was unable to find any info on this particular model online. And then I came across hamiltonchronicles.com So I reached out to Dan who runs the site and sent him a pic of my watch. He gave me the year and model number. Only in production from 1968-69.
I honestly can’t believe how great the coin bezel has held up considering the watch is nearly 55 years old.
