2 months of this G-Shock...

So I have been wearing this GA-B001 for a few days over 2 months now. No other watches whatsoever.

That's quite a change from my usual watch wearing routine as I typically like to swap between watches once every day or two. However, I have been unable to do that, so this one has remained on the wrist.

Background

Now that I have brought up the situation, let me explain.

On the 11th of May I arrived in China on a study exchange that would last for approximately 3 months. A few days prior to this, I went to my parents' place and left my apartment behind along with my watch collection. This G-Shock is the only watch that came here with me.

The beginning...

One might imagine that the early part of this situation is the easiest part, but for me this was not the case. This watch had some initial comfort issues for me as the buttons would sit against the bone at my wrist joint uncomfortably.

I figured that my wrist would just get used to it and the pain would go away with a bit of wearing and that is exactly what ended up happening, so the watch became comfortable to wear.

The middle

After I got used to the watch, it felt quite natural to me. I enjoy wearing it and it started losing significance in my thought process. I stopped thinking about it and was entirely focused on my life here otherwise.

However, there were some occasions where I have thought about the rest of my collection back in Finland and I have loosely looked at this forum and Instagram.

The present

Ultimately all of this thinking brought my mind back to watches. Today (technically yesterday as it's past midnight), I decided to do some watch photography in my dorm. You can find the pictures in my Instagram if that is of interest.

In addition, I am now writing this thing and I'm looking forward to seeing my collection again (hopefully) when I return.

But how about you? Would you use a single watch for months or would you bring multiple with you?

I literally started only wearing this on the day of #1wc starting or something very close to it, so I would pretty much auto qualify for that in terms of wearing time anyway, but I don't want to bother with posting daily pics and whatnot, so I'm doing this instead.

It's a hard ask to wear 1 watch so I commend you for doing 1 watch for 2 months. But it certainly helps you understand the wearing experience of the watch for sure. Awesome!

Still waiting for the solar version and a more legible color of this series
