How’s your impression on the watch, compared to Speedy, BB and CW? How’s the finish, dial quality, overall feel?
Very interested in Pistachio, but unfortunately can’t handle it myself in person, so your opinion may help build some insights on the watch and if it’s worth it to buy one.

The finishing is above that of all 3, but that is because it isn't a tool watch like the others. The movement in the BB is the automatic version of the B09, the B01 they have from a deal with Breitling. I can tell you the winding and feel of the Breitling is way better than the Tudor. The chrono pusher action is superior as well. The finishing on the movement is also fantastic and about the same or better than the Speedy. The strap is also excellent and a great complement to this watch, though I will be trying others to dress it down a bit from time to time. I've only had a short time, but it will likely be a permanent member of the collection like the Speedy is.

Thanks, appreciate your feedback! Love the “it’s not a tool watch” insight, it actually changes the perspective, even though speedy for me is somewhere between tool watch and.. not sure what else, since it’s definitely not a dress watch 🤣

No worries. Glad to help. Watch a ton of videos on this watch, because a ton of video and pictorial content is over saturated on their color, and this can make for intense and rich shots, the color isn't what you will see in the real world. This is a true pistachio in color, almost perfectly like pistachio pudding. It is a pale metallic green. It is quite beguiling. The details in the finishing on the sides of the case are very art deco. There are a mix of polished and brushed surfaces, but this is a flashy watch with the brushing being mostly on the sides. That said, it is tasteful and something no one else around you will have. You are certainly right about the Speedy. It could be a very, very good one watch collection, but I am way to far into this sickness to have only one. :)

I’ve noticed by the WC posts that pistachio color may even fade completely depending on the lighting. Reviews and YT is good, but it’s better to double check the visuals not to be buffled later.

Yes! I've had an especially difficult time getting good photos of this watch becauuse the dial changes so much depending on the lighting and angle I can get. I've had a couple of photos that looked stunning, and most of the others have just been OK.

Yes. One often has to see stuff in person to truly appreciate it. I loved Cartier design but thought the dials flat white and boring till I saw them. 180 degree opinion change after seeing them.
This is probably my favorite Brietling at the moment. Congrats on your new timepiece. This would probably be my first Breitling, as well. Back in day when I was flying I wanted a NaviTimer but those days are long gone. Cheers 🥂

Thanks. Yeah, the older I get the more simple the dial I want. Navitimer is iconic though.

I'm kind of the opposite! I used to be pretty obsessed about simple dials and hated anything complex, but now sometimes I want something spicier, like my Seiko Luxe SPB395.
Congratulations! I have one as well and it's just a gorgeous thing from every angle. It's also super comfortable, something I don't hear a lot of folks mention with it.
You mentioned dressing it down with different straps and I HIGHLY suggest getting Breitling's Nubuck brown for it--has the same curved springbars so it fits perfectly and, in my opinion, compliments the dial more beautifully and gives it a kind of upscale-rugged vibe, like a pair of Red Wing Heritage boots or a vintage Land Rover (but far more reliable 😉 )

I love this look. Thanks for the information and the tidbit about the curved lugs.

I don't have the B09 yet but I do love Red Wing boots 😁 Love pairing my watches with the Iron Ranger!

I love the alternating brushed and polished finish on the strap clasp, too. I can't stop staring at that on mine.
Yes, there are many great aspects to this watch. I hadn't noticed this yet, but now I will. Good to meet you.

Meant to say “curved springbars” (edited the comment) but hope you got the point ;)
Pistachio, pulls it off well!
