Nomos Neomatik Club Sport 37s

Finally at a much more manageable size of 37mm (lug to lug 47mm), a whopping 5mm drop from the original.

How do WatchCrunchers feel about this watch?

It looks less sterile and empty than their usual offerings, but I wish they'd adopt the high technology of central seconds.  Crown is too thick.

I was about to write a post about it, but will fill down my feelings into this comment.

I hate Nomos, I hate what they do to me every time! I love it but couldn't buy one yet!

I was looking for a green dial for a long time and after i've bought a Seiko (which I still love) they've announced a stunning green dial (I guess it was about a year and a half ago)

Last month I've started to search for my next do-it-all blue dial watch that is unique and bought a MeisterSinger Metris Blue dial with an awesome discount (which I do really love!). But than yesterday, they've announced this awesome, awesome, awesome new pieces!

Hate you Nomos! Because I'm always missing one to buy!

For me it checks all the boxes:

  • A very good metal bracelet
  • 200m or more water resistance
  • 38-40mm case diameter (because of the bigger dial size this would fit perfectly!)
  • under 11.5mm thickness (It is a Nomos, we're talking about 8.3mm thickness here!)
  • Reliable and precise movement (again, thats a Nomos and their DUW3001)
  • Sapphire crystal
  • A stunning blue dial
  • An even lug width (18mm is super easy to find after market  straps)

Ok thanks Nomos, thanks again that you've created an amazing piece that I cannot buy now.

I have never loved Nomos the way that others do. I think that their design style is more derivative than we credit. This is true of most brands, but Nomos has folks believing that they are fresh and original. I think that their use of color however, has been uniquely strong. Color is an afterthought for some brands, but with Nomos it really is a different shade of paint.

The design of this watch is straight out of 1952. It has a sub-second hand ✔, it has an even numeral distribution ✔,  and pencil handset ✔. It is only the modern finishing, case, and color that distinguish it from watches of that era. It seems original, but is anything but original. It is also amazing to me that they get a 47mm lug to lug out of a 37mm case. So, despite the more appealing size they are still not accommodating anyone with less than a seven inch wrist circumference.

Ultimately, pictures and rendering will not do. This is the classic example of the watch that you must try on in person. It may be that any niggles or complaints will vanish if it hugs the wrist.

Thank you for sharing the comment! I really liked the original 42mm (via pics), these look even better. This is definitely on the running list for me for my possible luxury purchase!

Thankfully my wrists are 7". But yes, as with all Nomos watches I believe this watch probably needs a wearing on the wrist before purchasing, as the dimensions can be deceiving.

It would be a brilliant choce! So, if I can run my bussiness well for videography, i would probably review one of these two as well :)
