Suggestion for under $150
Hi guys
I am looking for buying a watch under $150 and I am considering a seiko 5. Any good alternatives instead of this seiko. I am not looking for a g shock as I already have one. It can be any brand 😀

I have the SNKL23 and can really recommend the model.
Other models you can take a look at are SNKL41, SNKL45 and SNXS79.

Have you tried a leather strap on it? If you have which strap did you use ? I heard the stainless strap that comes with the watch isn’t really that good if you have hairy wrists.

I currently have it on a green leather strap. It has 18mm lug width, so I just have one strap that fits but I will get some more. The bracelet is standard old Seiko 5 rolled links, decent but it will pull hair. I bought aftermarket jubilee bracelet from aliexpress for this watch.

If brand is of no importance to you, I recommend browsing some of the Aliexpress microbrands. You can find a lot more options under $150 there (Pagani, Steeldive, Baltany, Sugess...), from divers to dress watches and everything in-between.

The SNK361 repeated 5 looks quite interesting and different from the other seiko 5. I will also check out the other brands you mentioned
Orient has some fine watches for $150ish.
Tissot Everytime & Heritage models can be had for that as well.

Steeldive & Pagani Design offer tremendous value.
I looked at the orient bambino also with like the cream dial. It looks good but I don’t reallly go to formal events as I am only in high school. So I don’t think that I will use it a lot.

They have plenty in that price range too.

Oh ye, I saw the snxs79 and I immediately fell in love with the Color 🤩. That’s the one I was thinking of getting and I got confused with that and the one I provided the photo off.

Oh yes, I saw the Citizen line up. They have some very good bang for your buck watches. But I went with the seiko 5 line up because of the automatic movement which is fairly reliable.
All you guys have some really nice watch’s man. I wish I had more money to spend on watches. I would like to do more overtime as a waiter but I have to balance it with my school.
