Is It Still Available? LoL please stop

Occasionally I will list watches on offer up or Facebook and it never fails, at least 95% replies are “is it still available?” And then they never reply again LoL Honestly what is that? Is there a psychologist that can explain the urge to try to be involved even though you aren’t going to be involved?

There is a picture of the watch, and next to that there is a price and beneath all of that it says … “for sale” so yeah it’s still available. Would you like to make an offer? Nah just wanted to know if it was still for sale LoL what is the motivation for this?

I always reply politely but I know they aren’t going to buy. A buyer makes an offer, they don’t bother the seller with endless questions. That’s what watchcrunch is for. I’m not one of those people who beleive the AD’s job is to chat with me. Their job is to sell me a watch. If you want to “chat” about watches go to the meet up.

Are these just lonely people? I just don’t understand the “is it still available” approach. If I wanted to chat about the watch I’d do it on here.

I do not personally ever ask “is it still available” if there is a watch with a price next to it and it says for sale because I think this is useless way to spend time and I for sure don’t want to waste other people’s time because isn’t time the most precious? What say the Crunch!?!

It isn't just watches.

I've bought and sold other special-interest things over the years, and every group is the same.

"Is this still available?"

"I see your post says 'no trades', but are you interested in a 1978 Simplicity snow blower? Needs a new belt, but otherwise great."

"I see your post says 'price firm', but would you take".... only 45% of your asking price?

Yes and I had someone text me and wanted to buy an item I was selling and we agreed on a time and place to meet and he never showed up and wouldn't respond to my texts. It's ok if you change your mind but let the other person know.

I would be more interested were it not so available. Just look at all that interest in Rolex!

It’s too bad some people actually get satisfaction from doing things like that. Miserable people

I really do suspect this is dabblers who like the idea more than the actuality. Or to be blunt, are very interested until it comes to the part where they put their money down.
