First post! Ciga Design Z-series Titanium

Hi everyone, new to WatchCrunch. What a place to be!

Sharing some photos of my Ciga Design (a relatively new Chinese brand that produces creative watches), this particular one is the Z-series in Titanium.

Of course, the main reason for getting this is that it looks like a Richard Mille. Though I have to say, I love it for that reason, and I hate it for that reason too.

The watch is lightweight and serves well as a daily beater (around $400?), the leather strap is on point without feeling cheap. Overall, solid beginner watch.

However, I wouldn't recommend this watch to anyone. The push buttons don’t actually do anything; they are purely for aesthetics, as are some of the gears you can see from the hollowed-out structure. Some of them are functional, but some don’t even turn and are just for the look.

In summary, for aesthetics, it's nice, and it's good to see Chinese brands doing more than just producing fakes but establishing names in the industry. However, for this particular model, I feel like that we are still in the early stages. That said, some other watch design from Ciga Design are actually original and fun!

They are putting out fantastically interesting watches. Definitely a brand to follow.

My friend the “pushers” aren’t supposed to be pushed since they are crown guards. They’re static and keep the crown safe from bumping against something and breaking off

You’re absolutely right 😳That’s definitely one way to look at it!

My train of thought is that this watch drew inspiration from RM, and these "guards" really do look like they are trying to imitate the chronograph pushers from an chrono RM. 🤔
