Repurposing a fake Rolex

So my father had a fake Rolex in his collection which he has given to me.

I figured this would be a fun project to change out the dial and breath new life into this cheap watch.

It has an Epson AL35E movement but I cannot for the life of me find any compatible dials online. Will anything do? To be honest I don’t even know the size of the dial.

Any recommendations? Should I just paint over the current dial?

As long as you get rid of the Rolex it's all good.

That’s the goal.

Any 28mm-29mm dial should fit. You might need to break the feet off and use sticky dial pads instead though. Be careful where you place the pads so it doesn't foul the movement. It will be far less of a problem with this being a quartz module though.

You can also use almost any hands, although the originals will be the best bet. If you buy a set of broaches, you can file out their holes if the ones on the hands are too small.

AliExpress is your best bet for everything.

It's a day-date without either a day or date. Love it.
