Expedition Report ๐Ÿšตโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Rode well over 50miles/80km and good amount of elevation this weekend with a big group of friends friends and so on. So I got agood portion of social training since I knew only a little over 1% of the people in the group.

The ride went over two days with nice weather the first day, but a killing headwind... The first day was also the day with the most elevation and the longest distance. Let's just say that my legs haven't biked any meaningful amount since my schooldays. And these rough gravel roads with great variation in maintenance pluss bike packs did a number on my legs.

Sleeping over in a huge mountain cabin with a couple of other smaller groups was definitely a charming experience.

Aaaaanyways ๐Ÿ˜… I was going back and forth on which watch I should wear before leaving. And I'm so glad I landed on my newly acquired cheap Gul Speedstar (my only quartz). I checked to see if the all the hands of chronograph was still hanging on after the downhill segments both days. I'm sure it would be terrible for a mechanical watch. Shaky stuff!! I didn't think of what when choosing the watch, so I guess I was lucky ๐Ÿ˜Š

Timed the trips the first and longest day. Almost 8hrs including breaks:

Great job! That's an impressive feat for somebody who doesn't bike much- stay away from stairs the next couple days as best you can!!!

Hehe!! I'm not sore ๐Ÿ˜… I do work out a lot even though I rarely hit the bike. Maybe it helped? I dunno. But it was hard and a couple of stretches towards the end with a lot of elevation where I struggled. It's good to get challenged. Gonna do better prep if I'm gonna do it again!!

Nice! I ride a fair bit, and going down stairs the day or two after a big effort SUCKS!

Maybe it will come creeping. It sometimes takes a day to kick in with me ๐Ÿค” But yesterday wasn't too bad so maybe I got to pump the lactic acid out? But very tired in general today. Probably a bit mentally too from all the social action and impressions from the wild nature.
