After using Smart Watches for a few years now I was interested in the connect features of some of the Casio Offerings...I have some of the watches connected to my phone through G-Shock Move, Casio Watches, Pro-trek, Edifice and G-Shock Connected Apps. Even though the full functionality of a smart watch cannot be achieved I have the confidence that these watches will not die out on me in an Emergency....Do you feel the same?

I can't stand most smart watches. The heart rate bump. The battery life. The device service life. The lack of always-on screen.
I love my g but I don't bother connecting it as it somewhat reduces battery run time on both devices.
So to answer your question - yes definitely agree. Much better in my opinion.

Yes I agree but some Tough Solars are available with connect features which you can recharge on the go....if there is enough sunlight
Like the GBD-H1000 and GST-B200
This so far is just fine for me its bluetooth, tough solar and its atomic time set. Also got a app. Just almost perfect watch they making them nicer. I use this basic nothing wrong with smart watches. But you can do just as good workout with this same as smart watch except you don't get heart rate with this.
