first time repairing a watch

A Junghans from ~1925/26 with a J32 caliber.

Unfortunatly i've to replace the balance staff, since a pivot is broken, and you can't find complete balance wheels on the internet.

So i just bought a Staking Set and have to wait till it arrives. 😭

Its only 11 bucks any you can toss everything but the balance staff.

I admire your decisiveness and your confidence but replacing a balance staff for your first repair is a pretty tall order.

I’d stick that in a drawer for a bit, come back to it after you’ve done a few (dozen) services.

Should use a microscope to change it. And the pros use  a special jig to tune it.
