Lorca No. 1 GMT just arrived

This is a watch of several firsts for me. First time ordering from an unproven watch brand; first time preordering any watch; first „caller“ GMT. It just arrived today, and: it’s really good. I wasn’t particularly worried after the pre-production models were highly praised, but it’s still nice to see a promise kept.

Clean polish where it should be clean; sharp lines where they should be sharp. The bracelet is so comfortable, it may make me reconsider my general preference for straps. The clasp will attract scratches like a lantern attracts moths, but such is the nature of worn objects.

Are these available now, or are they doing another run for next March?

I think they‘re doing preorders for a March 2024 delivery.

I'm not sure what I think about this watch, but that could be a good thing, so for now I'm giving it a thumbs up.

And "The clasp will attract scratches . . . but such is the nature of worn objects." I admire your fatalistic attitude here, and not only is it a first world problem but a first watchworld problem, but how much trouble would it be for manufacturers to put some kind of texture or coating on watch clasps instead of just throwing up their hands, and say O well, it'll just get scratched up. This seems to be true for cheap watches and Diashock Hardened Coated High Vickers Scale models as well. The clasp is the Achilles Heel.

Very true. This clasp could have easily been brushed.
