NWA: Horage Supersede GMT

Well it has been about a year since I discovered Horage and just under a year since I made the decision this would be my 40th birthday watch to myself. On specs alone without pics I was sold: 39x47x<10 (before crystal) traveler micro rotor gmt with hidden gmt hand, power reserve, and diver bezel with 200m resistance and an on the fly micro adjust clasp all in 904L for a stupid price given the specs.

I am pleased to say this watch lives up to everything I’d hoped it would and I am going to wear this thing constantly for the next month and really live with it. My 40th may not be till March of 2024 but I am so happy to have finally taken delivery of this watch and know that as part of the preorder process I had a small hand in the development of it.

Now @HORAGE please make a micro rotor integrated chrono and just send me an invoice 😉

Horage makes all their movements from scratch in house. It is the K2 micro-rotor movement with the GMT function 🙂 Check em out at Horage.com

Back? what happened?

my bezel doesn't align straight at 12 o'clock. they told me to send it back and they'll fix it.

seems like your one is ok though?

yeah it turns easily enough so it can get misaligned but it lines up right now :), hoping you get it back soon!

hmm noticing the date seems to be in process of changing at noon.....hmmmmm I was testing out the GMT and might have needed to go all the way around.

Yep lol getting used to the movement but damn if it ain’t satisfying to have a true gmt with a quick set date

·

Great looking watch. Congrats.

Yes because the crown does both quickset date and the gmt hand, sometimes the hand that drives the date (I think it’s the gmt hand) can be off by 12 hours. One of the drawbacks to having a quickset date with gmt.

literally the only one I can think of and easy enough to notice upon the date changing at noon the next day :)....when I showed the quickset function to my friend who owns a BBGMT he got really jealous hehe

How much was it mate?

Tbh I don’t really remember. Ordered during last preorder discount window in October of 2022…in Swiss francs lol

·

Horage is an impressive brand, and at least one of their models is on my short list.

unfortunately it's sold out

however I have heard rumours that a sequel/successor is coming soon?

Any comment @HORAGE?

Gorgeous watch! Congrats 🥳

looks brilliant in your pics and I love the look of that bezel.

I’ve got something coming from Horage as well. I’m very impressed by their watches and the nearly 100% Swiss manufacture and build.

This was the information I learned of about setting the watch. I link the GMT hand first to my desired dual time offset then move the lumen hour hand into the local time.

With regards to the date, as the K2 is a very modern movement, this traditional practice of not manually changing the date between 10pm and 3am is not critical.

All that said, I personally still advise to manually change the date around midday time-wise, setting the date to 1 day before the date you wish, then wind the time forwards past midnight to the correct date and time setting.

This minimises stress on the gear chain and also ensures that all the gearing is properly aligned and re-set after a manual setting.

For your reference, the date change mechanism is connected to the main hour hand, not the skeletonised GMT hand.

Oh I had only gone twelve hours ahead not 24. Easily rectified lol
