Okay Crunchers, Let's Play a Game: Chrono

So after receiving my K2 Supersede I'm set on GMTs and divers for life....I know at some point I want a BB36 Anthracite, but in the meantime I have a chrono hole to fill.

Here's the game:

41mm or under

14mm thick or under

Manual or auto but a sellita level in quality or above

Steel or Titanium or Ceramic

Panda, Reverse Panda (with notable exceptions for some nicely colored dials)

If it has a bracelet, it must have on the fly (tool-less) micro adjust

$10,000 or under (new only, no pre-owned)

Things i've considered:

Zenith Revival Shadow

Breitling Pistachio

Farer Carnegie Titanium

Tag Glassbox (black)

Norqain Freedom 60

Omega Speedy '57

What else should I look at?

Depends if you want something dressy or more sporty.

Out of your options, if it were dressy, I think the glass box from tag is handsome followed by the a384 or a386 from Zenith.

***if buying used is an option then you can get a Habring 2 rattrapante or something less complicated for 10k or less https://www.chrono24.com/habring/doppel-felix--id30392938.htm

for the sporty column: I do like the zenith shadow, personally I have the Hanhart 417es 1954 flyback in 39mm in my crosshairs (fighter jet pun intended), or wait until a non precious metal minerva powered Montblanc goes on sale. Zenitch chronometer sport is just 11k if the ceiling can be raised. but Zenith seems to have a lot of pedigree, brand cache, and style for the 10k region if you're not considering a speedy pro.

I'll leave you with this. depending on finances, you can find a good selitta flyback AMT5100 M usually for under 3k in a preferred design by reverse engineering your search using watchcase as a starting point or just searching for watches with the movement and then get your bb36 anthracite all new out the door under 10k with strap money to spare 🍻

🤔 good points. I think I want a more interesting movement than sw510 or variants. At the moment the CFB big date annual heritage chrono Bucherer Blue edition has me very intrigued

Apparently Montblanc and minerva are about to release something in a few days.
