Slava 2427 automatic movement
The design incorporates two mainsprings (first photo). Not sure if this is common or not, or what the purpose of making it like this would be.

Possibly. Online it said the watch has a 40 hour power reserve, though I’m not sure if that was considered a lot back in the 70s.

Looks like it was to make it more accurate. The two mainsprings provide better energy distribution.
