Is Jody’s new Erebus Ascent too small for a 18.5 cm wrist?

I’m hesitating to pull the trigger on Jody’s new release. I very much like what they have done with the case shape, the dials and the movement and I think it’s a huge leap forward compared to the Origin. But it’s just 38.6 mm in diameter (as measured by Peter Kotsa) and its beveled case makes it look even smaller.

It's the perfect size for a GADA watch for my 8.5" wrist IMO. 36 to 38 are becoming far more popular in the "classic " designs and vintage inspired watches that are fashionable ATM.

I have a 20cm wrist and think 38 is perfect for a gada style watch.

I agree with the people above. I'd wear a watch that size and style and my wrist is about the same size as yours. Go for it.

It depends what you are used to wearing. I have a 19cm (7.5") wrist and always wear >40mm. When I try anything smaller, it looks and feels ridiculous on me. So I guess it's whatever you get used to for me.

That said, wear what you like if it makes you happy 😊

I have 18cm and wear 38.5mm Alpinist every day and it's perfect size.

So most of you agree that it should be wearable. Thank you all! Now I have to do another poll on the dial variant. This is even more difficult!

I prefer for my 19cm wrist in dress watch and the field watch at least 40mm, for diver at least 42mm. İ am fall in love with alpinist but sadly we belong different worlds.

Your wrist size doesn't matter as much as your preferences do. I have a casio of similar style and proportions and it's perfectly fine. It's a smaller watch but that's what I want from it

We have a better watch coming to launch in May :) if 38.6mm is too small, We got you covered with 39mm ;) Anyway, 38.6 will for your wrist just fine! #yolo
