I actually really like the Oris pointer date models but cannot justify paying around 5k cad for the model with their in house movement. However that remains the iteration that I would wish to own.
It looks better than the current versions. IMO Seiko Red Alpinist took heavy inspiration from these.
I'd like to know the history of this design, do you know where I should search and with what keywords? "Big crown pointer date" hasn't helped me much..

I bought the big Crown on a local auction with 600$ around, it's a pre-owned piece but absolutely mint.
Movement ORIS #754 was pretty strong with several seconds variation daily. I suppose the model live 20 yrs around.

I have one of these and it's a regular in the rotation. I love the cathedral hands and applied indices and numerals!
