The Omega Seahorse insignia or known as the Omega Hippocampus was a task given to an engraver to adorn the Seamaster.
Shortly after its introduction, Omega began using the symbol on other tool watches such as the Speedmaster indicating its water resistant capabilities. ๐ก

This is my biggest regret as a watch collector.
Shouldโve bought one of these back in 2020 when I started out and they were still being produced. To me the most beautiful Speedy, I even prefer it to the new 321, precisely because of its charming imperfections and quirks, like the non matching subdial hands. Also, those lugs are just to die for ๐

Lots for resale on the secondary markets . . . Of course a bit more $$ but still fairly reasonable.
