Too bad I missed the first batch of Lorier Hydra SIII...
As I have been quite satisfied with past Loriers (except when my Falcon SIII came in magnetized due to air travel..), I was pondering if I should add Hydra SIII to my collection for last few days, as it was amazingly still in stock after the launch on Friday
As I decided to pull the trigger today, I guess a lot more people decided to do the same probably thanks to Hodinkee's hands-on article.. now the first batch is gone 🥲
Now the wait commences...

I had to wait for my Steinhart Ocean One GMT. It was worth the wait. You will feel the same once you get the chance to pull the trigger again.
Had the same experience with the Gemini last November, I blinked and they were gone 😂
This watch really took off since it has a much brighter design compared to their other watches, I would also like to pick one up considering its value proposition

I couldn’t go online for it at the specific time since the kids were too naughty and I didn’t want to leave them to my partner (who was cooking a meal). Did ended buying a Seagull 1963 to experiment with the movement though 🤷♂️
With the microbrands I like to buy from, Ive learned the hard way, if I have my pocket money at a point where I can afford it, and I like it, go for it..otherwise I'm waiting almost 1.5 years for my Helm Miyako! 🤯
And yes, my wife and I do the whole Financial Peace Thing, which means we budget....for serious, boring stuff AND fun stuff for both of us! 😎

My only consolation is that Lorier is quite transparent about restocking..
My Falcon III arrived in April, only six months after the original batch 😂
