Nodus Trailtrekker vs Lorier Hydra SIII Zulu

I've been looking to add a travel watch. It has to be somewhat in the affordable level, so that I don't bemoan too much when it is lost or stolen, and it'd be good to have a traveler GMT movement. (So that naturally narrows the choices down to the watches with Miyota 9075) I've been looking forward to a restock of Lorier Hydra SIII Zulu, as it fit my requirements perfectly + black DLC coated case adding stealthy vibes to it as well. Having a dive bezel is also a utility plus point. However, a new contender showed up out of nowhere in the name of Nodus Trailtrekker. While I already have experiences with Lorier owning two watches already (Gemini SII and Falcon SIII), I've never had an experience with Nodus but been staring at their watches for a while too. I like the Explorer II vibe with a twist, especially the grey DLC coating as well. Both of them are within my budget. I was wondering what your opinions are. Thanks! P.S) Thank goodness that both aren't limited releases.

The triangle in Lorier is awkwardly small and I can't get over it

I have handled the TrailTrekker. It's great. I have several Nodus. I love the brand. The owners are awesome. I have no experience with the Lorier. I suspect you will like the forthcoming Nodus Contrail III very much as well.

I'm in the exact same situation as you trying to find a similar gmt for the same reasons. As soon as I saw the Nodus, it was winner for me. Size, thickness, screwdown crown, color, are all perfect for travel. I put in an order already.

While I see why people are a fan of the #lorier hydra but honestly I really really dislike it. So this one was a no brainer for me, the #nodus x #raven collaboration watch wins 🤘🏼👊🏼
