My first brand new purchase! Welcome to the Orient Quartz Classic

We’ve all been there, working long hours at the office for months and months, saving up for your first brand new watch. When it recently came my time to go about it, I was faced with many better looking automatic Bambino’s who’s dials were much more attractive and I could afford them as well, but I chose to start off easy and go for this Orient Quartz Classic. Our local dealer of Orient, Saco Watch Co, who also are the licensed distributors of Omega, made sure to give me a good price on it knowing it would be my first purchase, so shout out to them! 
 

Onto the watch now, most online websites that sell the watch only talk about the rose gold case and the crocodile leather strap, which is fine, but to me, the dome shaped Crystal was what sold me to make the purchase. As uploaded, you will see how it looks so nice even for though it’s very thin, it just adds to the contemporary flair of the watch. On the wrist it sits very comfortable and even though I have a small wrist, the 40.5 case didn’t bother me at all. You can wear it for a very long time and you won’t feel irritated, that’s not to say that you‘ll forget you a watch on your wrist, cause the leather belt reminds you of that. I only intend to wear it on formal occasions or with semi formal attire. I personally don’t think that this will look good with casual attires although I haven’t tried it yet and don’t intend to. 
 

Coming to my final verdict, I would definitely recommend someone who wants to purchase a formal Quartz watch on a budget to go for it, but keep in mind, since it’s a budget watch, it will have some issues over time. For example, I’m sure that the rose gold accent on the casing will start to fade within a few years and the strap will also start to wear out faster than other more expensive options. But I can only be sure about it after a few years.
