So...i keep seeing everyone talk about Orient & Seiko $100 watches or under. But am I looking at the wrong websites or what?
I've looked and have not found anything, is this a myth or am I looking in the wrong spaces?
For reference I've used Jomashop, Amazon etc...

Anything.
Jomashop or Creationwatch still have some past generation automatic Seiko 5 with 7S movements in the $100-$120 range.
For Orient, you may find a second hand Ray or Mako at $150 but they will be closer to $200 for a Ray and $250 for a Kamasu.
You will find a larger selection of automatics around $100 if you look at homage brands on AliExpress.
Well, maybe in the earlier 2000, not now
Old Seiko 5 or Orient Tristar and only if you're lucky.
Joma and Creation, older Seiko 5's when on sale.
Even when not on sale they are usually under $200 easy.
Its funny with the current inflation jumps in retail prices, people tend to quote things and prices have changed quite a bit, even gray market. Seems everything's more expensive.
You'll need to narrow down on the models you like n then try your luck in the secondary market. I got my blue Mako II in new condition at 130 bucks... Totally no regrets. 😁 👍❤️ 💯
