Hand wound watch and hand ground coffee

This #timexexpedition North Field Mechanical doesn't get a lot of wrist time lately, even though I love this thing!

The dial is halfway between field watch and pilot's watch with the triangle at 12 o' clock and the big, legible arabic numerals. At 38mm in diameter and only a little over 10mm thick, it wears very comfortably, and the flat sapphire crystal makes the dial pop.

The main reason I don't wear it more is because it doesn't have a chronograph. I use the chronograph function at least once a day to time my coffee (manual infusion), and even though my coffee scales have a built-in chrono, I much prefer using my watch.

Good mechanical morning to you! What are your next steps? Please don't tell me you're hand starting a fire to hand roast your toasts? 🤣

Lol I'm not that intense 😛 But I hand grind the coffee and use an Aeropress to brew it! For the rest of my breakfast I use normal people appliances 😅

By the way, hello fellow Montrealer! Nice to meet you!

There is something in brewing your own coffee from freshly ground beans. I'm not a coffee drinker, but love the smell of freshly ground coffee.

Nice to meet you too!

I love the process of "slow brewing". It's way less efficient than a Keurig or Nespresso (I had both in the past), but it's a much more enjoyable experience and the taste is infinitely better! And if it's not, I have nobody to blame but myself 😅
