Hi, this is José from Germany. I got bitten by the watch bug about one year ago and have a quite eclectic collection. I like both solid, well finished pieces with nice movements which are on the dressier side as well as all sorts of microbrands and fun watches, even quarz is in the mix.
Favorite brands which I can afford and are widely known are Ball, Omega, Zelos, Hamilton and Christopher Ward. I promise to sell some watches before I buy new ones. (Let's see how well this goes...)
My father has really big hands, but a rather regular wrist size. He is not a big watch aficionado, but we started talking about the one I was wearing...

For the longest time, I have not been wearing watches at all, most of the time I just did not like anything on my fingers or my wrist. Also, I have never bought or been gifted a watch for an occasion, I mostly stumbled over watches randomly.
I bought my first watch the at end of the 80s, namely this funny one which sadly does not work any more, the dial was also white at the time. I found the way of telling the time and the slight Moirée effect nice and unique:
The first "real" watch I bought was some year later the following Alpina which must have been too small for my wrist right from the start:
I bought a similarly sized bicolor Tissot Seastar some years later, then some fashion watch and that was it for a long time...
Until I saw this Seiko two years ago and then the madness set in:
I now need to consciously restrain myself from not buying more watches on impulse and I already compiled a list of watches I plan to sell. I now have a much better idea not only of which watches I like, but also which I will be wearing, which is not the same thing.
Thank you very much, but I did not see a lot of watches <= 42mm, in fact only one model which was not for me. They have crazy sizes up to 50mm. But I know someone who likes / needs big watches, I will ask him.
Thanks a lot for the details! I had a really good impression of the watches on their website, too, glad to hear you have had a good experience. Sadly the models with tritium all seem to be on the bigger side. I prefer 38-40mm, althought I can wear some up to 42mm, depending on the lug-to-lug measure. I will definitely look at their other models, too and see if there is another one that I like and fits.
Nice watch and cool that it uses tritium tubes, I love those and have one watch from Ball that has tubes, too as well as another one on the way from Traser. I really like the design of the Aragon watches. Are you happy with your watch / can you tell a bit about it?
This is such a nice watch, it looks quite unique, never seen such a texture on the dial. The texture echoes the form of the indices. Also, interesting color choice. I will look up that brand, never heard about it.
